Jonathan Blackhall

Hi. My name is Jonathan Blackhall. I am currently a 1st year medical student at Rush University. When I’m not learning about dilated cardiomyopathies and the like, I enjoy the Internet (maybe you’ve heard of it?). I’m a bit of a tech junkie. I like links (as you may be able to tell). They make the web go ’round. I have a girlfriend named Sadie-Jean, and she’s my tupelo honey. When I can tear myself away from my coursework, I like to design websites. I redesigned a student website for the students at my school. I also love to read books, listen to music, and watch movies.

I am not on Facebook (I am now, but with reservations), MySpace, or similar social network because I feel that they each have inherent flaws, which I feel most web-conscious folks realize. I am a fan of open source, copyleft, and GPL. If you don’t know what that is, I suggest you do some light reading. It’s exciting to see a group of people create something for free in their free time that is better than their competitors can do for profit. I am also a fan of Wordpress and Automattic. I am not a fan of www.
