Yeah I knew he was planning on it. I think at least a few in the tech community hope it’s Lawrence Lessig. Scoble interviewed Lessig a few weeks ago, and Lessig claimed he “wouldn’t be a good choice” because it should be someone more tech savvy who could help change tech in government but not corrupt it. I (and others) feel that this makes him a perfect candidate. But regardless, I hope (and feel confident) that Obama will pick a worthy candidate to ensure a good technological future. Since Google’s Eric Schmidt is also on Obama’s “financial advisory board”, he’d be another interesting choice, although I know much less about him and his ideas.
