Free “Powered by Ubuntu” stickers

So I’ve been looking into picking up a little decorative art for the new rig since the outside design is kinda plain. I saw today that you can get 4 free “Powered by Ubuntu” stickers by sending them a SASE (hat tip ubuntu.wordpress.com). If you prefer a wider variety and don’t mind DIY, there’s always the Free Software Sticker Book. Or you could buy them at CafePress.

  1. Now that’s what I’m talking about!

  2. So system76 supplies these stickers, check this site where they sell Ubuntu laptops, http://system76.com/index.php?cPath=28, apparently the 12.1″ model uses the Intel GMA X3100 .. and this YouTube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2ZAJQmIIHM the guy apparently got X3100 working w/ Compiz by simply removing it from the Compiz script (under “blacklist”). But I guess you can wait for Hardy.

  3. Yeah i read that’s what the problem was. I’ll probably just install Gusty w/o Compiz for now unless i read that the fix is really simple. I saw their computers and some of them didn’t look half bad and prices were pretty reasonable.
